Working with Rainbow Communities

Creating an inclusive and supportive workplace is a goal that many organisations strive for, but achieving it can be challenging. One key step towards achieving this goal is to provide training and education around diversity and inclusion, especially when it comes to understanding and supporting the LGBTIQA+ community. That's where our "Working with the Rainbow Community" workshop comes in.

This workshop is a 101-style awareness training session about LGBTIQA+ communities, providing a starting point for organisations that want to create a more welcoming environment for employees, customers or clients who identify as part of the LGBTIQA+ community.

This workshop includes an overview of the terminology and concepts around sex, gender and sexual orientation, unpacking the acronym, inclusive language and an understanding of inclusion and allyship at work. The aim of this workshop is to provide a foundational understanding of the LGBTIQA+ community and help kickstart the process of building allyship in the workplace.

Our goal is to provide participants with a foundational understanding of the LGBTIQA+ community, and give them the insights and tools to understand the needs and challenges of this community, and how they can act as allies to create a more positive workplace culture.

We understand that creating an inclusive workplace can be a challenge, which is why we have updated our workshop in 2023 to create a more accessible and engaging learning experience. Our updated workshop includes interactive and practical activities designed to help participants learn and retain information.

Our workshop is suitable for anyone looking to gain a better understanding of the LGBTIQA+ community and how to create a more inclusive workplace and understand the importance of allyship. This includes HR professionals, managers, supervisors, and employees at all levels of the organisation. We welcome participants from all industries and backgrounds, as our workshop is designed to be relevant and applicable to a wide range of workplaces including small businesses.
