Thank you to everyone for supporting our Equality Fundraiser!

Whether you came along, bought a ticket for someone else, volunteered, organised, promoted, donated or spent money – you are our hero. The evening was a huge success and we couldn’t have done it without your contribution. Thank you!

Yshrael Pascual and his band were sensational and a complete crowd-pleaser. If you ever need entertainment for an event, they won’t disappoint. Stuart Russ’s catering was fantastic (especially the spiced aubergine and fennel lavosh) and Dean Beck was the perfect MC. Thanks guys!

For a few hours the beautiful Coppersmith Hotel was a safe and celebratory place for all of us: the boys from Young and Gay, the rainbow family kids (OK, the young adults), the gay dads, the Kew mums, the dancing 80s dykes, the gorgeous guys, the trans chick, the crew from Team Melbourne and the many, many, awesome supportive straight allies. If only our outside world could feel more like that…

The money raised will keeping us running into the New Year. We’re planning a huge Purple Party in St Kilda in January, a stall at Midsumma, and a big presence at Pride. Details about these events will be posted here soon.

Once the Pride season is done, and the kids are back at school, we’ll be putting our election strategy into place. You’ll hear more about that soon.

Will you be a more amazing hero by helping us reach more people on Facebook?

Can you ask your friends to LIKE our Facebook page?

You can also follow us on Twitter and Instagram.

Thank you for your continued support. Your vote for equality matters.
